3.2.0 release candidate available
Hi, I have uploaded the release candidate for Koha 3.2.0. Changes since the beta include: * fixes to the upgrade of acquisitions data from 3.0 * various bugfixes, particularly to acquisitions, serials, and label creation * improvements to test case coverage * all required test cases now pass * adding back the ability to save and manage local system preferences * the rotating collections feature is now deferred to 3.4.x * security fixes * translations Pending confirmation of successful installations and upgrades, this will become the general release of 3.2.0. At this point, string changes, enhancements, and non-super-critical bugfixes will not be accepted for 3.2.0; only truly critical bugfixes, improvements to upgrade and installation processes and documentation, and translations will be pushed. The tarball can be retrieved from: http://download.koha-community.org/koha-3.02.00-rc.tar.gz Checksum and signature files for verifying the package can be retrieved from: http://download.koha-community.org/koha-3.02.00-rc.tar.gz.MD5 http://download.koha-community.org/koha-3.02.00-rc.tar.gz.MD5.asc http://download.koha-community.org/koha-3.02.00-rc.tar.gz.sig Regards, Galen -- Galen Charlton gmcharlt@gmail.com

Another change to note in particular is that there is a new Perl module dependency since the beta, Business::ISBN. Regards, Galen -- Galen Charlton gmcharlt@gmail.com
I don't think this is a 'super-critical bugfix' - but I do think it's pretty confusing to users of the software. There is a preference for opacprivacy, but still no page where patron can actually set their privacy options. Nicole On Wed, Oct 6, 2010 at 10:43 PM, Galen Charlton <gmcharlt@gmail.com> wrote:

I think that's a good point, Nicole. It's bug 3881, by the way: http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=3881 Regards, Magnus Enger libriotech.no On 7 October 2010 13:24, Nicole Engard <nengard@gmail.com> wrote:

If you'd like to see what to fix to help bring about a general release, there's a bug progress chart link in the last but one block of http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Roadmap_to_3.2 At the moment, there are six blockers. This one needs someone comfortable with the translations: 4472 img tags in xslt broken after automatic translation These three are database-related: 4141 reconcile 3.0.x and HEAD database updates for 3.2.0 4310 No Migration for budgets from 3.0 to 3.2 4972 updatedatebase fails to create aqbasketgroups and aqcontract And the following two are ASSIGNED: 3536 Checked In item requiring transfer does not consistently ... 3756 new sys prefs - no way to add a new local use preference A quote from the BTS: "Communicate! It can't make things any worse." Hope that helps, -- MJ Ray (slef), member of www.software.coop, a for-more-than-profit co-op.
