This preference is used in C4/Installer.pm an C4/Context.pm It record the exact version of Koha. We need it to update Koha between different version. Is not deprecated, as I know. I don'r know it useful to not show it.

This one (if it must show) makes sense to show on Local Use or Admin. Nicole
