Could someone be so kind as to write a few words about the breeding farm metaphor or to point a specific subsection of the documentation where this is addressed? I have a vague idea but would like just a little more clarification. -Lars ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through L-secure: http://www.l-secure.net/

The breeding farm is a repository for "incomplete" MARC records that you have downloaded to Koha using either the Z39.50 search or the import-to-breeding-farm function. The records are incomplete because they (of course) do not have any of your local holdings information attached. You can call records up from the repository through the cataloging interface and add the holdings information, then save the newly completed MARC record to your regular Koha database. Or were you looking for more specific information (where they're stored, which scripts act on the breeding farm, etc.)? -- Stephen Hedges Skemotah Solutions, USA www.skemotah.com -- shedges@skemotah.com
Thanks. That explains the breeding farm. -Lars Lainaus Stephen Hedges <shedges@skemotah.com>: [snip]
