Re: [Koha-devel] Please restart IRC logger
The logger has gone? Cool, that's one less reason for me not to be there.
I think everyone else will agree that the logger is a great idea, since valuable information can be gleaned from the IRC log (http://www.haz.cmsd.bc.ca/cgi-bin/kohalog.pl) by users and developers. Some of the best work we've done on Koha has been while in conversation with developers on the IRC channel (for which they are owed many thanks!). It's an invaluable tool to a community like ours that spans several countries. -- Owen

I am very frustrated by people using things like the IRC log to avoid writing up. The IRC log is not really a good way to make valuable information easy to find and access. The IRC channel is a useful extra support and discussion line, but is inconvenient when we are scattered across many time-zones, languages and internet policies (there is no local server to connect to atm). -- MJR/slef My Opinion Only and possibly not of any group I know. http://www.ttllp.co.uk/ for creative copyleft computing Help hack the EuroParl! http://mjr.towers.org.uk/proj/eurovote/
