[Bug 193] Multiple search criteria in OPAC gives misleading feedback

Hi All! One comment. The software in your local public library has a serious flaw if it doesn't allow for entering search terms in more than one field at a time. There should be the option to adjust the Boolean operators between fields as well as using them within fields that are searched. I would hope that we are not thinking of restricting Boolean searching to one field at a time. Regards, Al Calame Librarian-at-Large, Albert P. no, I'm not thinking of restricting Boolean searching to one field at a time. The non-MARC Advanced Search, however, does *currently* not seem to properly support searching on more than one field (I didn't realize this until I have to read the code that does the searching). I was proposing that we probably should make this point clear, in order to avoid confusing people. I just thought that if my local public library's OPAC has such a note, it is not too strange to put such a note on Koha's (non-MARC) search screen. Of course, when the search is fixed so that it can properly support entering more than one search term, the note should be taken out. -- Ambrose LI Cheuk-Wing <a.c.li@ieee.org>
