Hello & merry christmas, our contract with the provider that hosts the mailing lists (and also mails, DNS, and some other important things) will end on february 18th. We won't renew it for various reasons. So there are two options: * we move the mailing lists to a new server (a virtual one). * someone else want to host those mailing lists. To speak frankly, we (BibLibre) don't manage mailman for anything outside from koha mailing lists. So we are not experts in mailman, so if someone want to do it, we will be happy to switch. If no-one want to take the ball, we will continue on a new server, don't worry. So, the question: is there any volunteer ? -- Paul POULAIN http://www.biblibre.com Expert en Logiciels Libres pour l'info-doc Tel : (33) 4 91 81 35 08

Would be happy to volunteer hosting the mailing lists using Mailman and taking care of them, if it is really needed :) cheers -idg -- Indranil Das Gupta Phone : +91-98300-20971 Blog : http://indradg.randomink.org/blog IRC : indradg on irc://irc.freenode.net Twitter : indradg -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Please exchange editable Office documents only in ODF Format. +1. If you want any help with the hosting or transition, we run a bunch of Mailman lists at Equinox and would be happy to lend a hand. Is there any integration with git that needs to be kept in mind? To+

Not as such except for being an item to check after the transition. As long as the subscriptions are transferred over to the new host, the automatic emails from Git to koha-patches should just continue to work. And if it's done this Friday in particular, I think we can expect even less chance of disrupting any messages. Indra, do you think it could be possible by the end of THIS week for you? (not sure it could be for us) -- Paul POULAIN http://www.biblibre.com Expert en Logiciels Libres pour l'info-doc Tel : (33) 4 91 81 35 08

And to be clear -- since I made the suggestion to do this quickly, I'm happy to help make it happen, but it's just a suggestion. As long as there's advance notice, I'm sure that most any time between now and mid-February will work.
