Hi, The irc logger has disappeared since some weeks. It has been given a re-birth in july, but lasted not long... This is probably due to the fact that steve has left the project (even if this has not been announced by steve, this is a reality) I was wondering if we should not have a copy of the wiki somewhere else, because if the hoster disappear, this will be a *real* pain. Hoster (roger ?), are u here ?. have you something to say about my "anxiousness" ;-) ? -- Paul POULAIN Consultant indépendant en logiciels libres responsable francophone de koha (SIGB libre http://www.koha-fr.org)

What else was steve responsible for? nothing afaik.

Rachel & I just spoke of this a few minuts ago. katipo should add the logger soon to koha.org & I should buy a new server with good bandwith until end of year, so we should be able to have a sort of backup on the net. -- Paul POULAIN Consultant indépendant en logiciels libres responsable francophone de koha (SIGB libre http://www.koha-fr.org)

The wiki is still there. Its run by Roger Buck in Australia, not Steve. And steve had gotten the logger up and running again after having some issues with getting irc out through his school districts firewall. http://www.koha.org/wiki/ works just fine for me. As far as Steve leaving the project, has he told you he has Paul? Or have you decided that since he hasnt been around he has left it? Am i speaking a so bad english ;-( ? About the wiki, it's still here, of course. I was just wondering if we had a risk he disappear. Because there are so many informations in the wiki that it would be a real big pain it disappeared. But if the wiki owner (roger) can confirm the wiki won't disappear as long as Koha don't disappear, there's absolutly no problem with it (except slowness -from france-) I'm just trying to avoid problems...

http://www.haz.cmsd.bc.ca/cgi-bin/kohalog.pl (link on the wiki) does not work (at least at the moment)

I've said that "steve has left the project, even if this has not been announced by steve". So, no, steve didn't say he left. In fact he hasn't say anything since
6 months (steve, if you are still reading us, pls tell us...)

Hi :) No intention to pull the plug on the koha wiki in the forseeable future. It is owned by koha community so no problem if you think it would be better hosted elsewhere. Originally koha wiki was hosted on 128k ISDN. For the last 12 months koha wiki has been hosted on 512/512 SDSL which supports minimal additional traffic - It's the best we can do for connectivity for the forseeable future. We do a nightly tcpdump and there's at least one month history of incremental backupsat any time. There is an instance of the wiki which is dedicated to koha so it would be trivial to move wiki application (wiktikitavi 2.5: tavi.sourceforge.net) and db (mysql 4.0.18) to an alternative host any time you want. Hi And steve had gotten the

Would it be helpful for us to run the logger though? as we don't have firewall probs Cheers R _____________________________________________________________ Rachel Hamilton-Williams Katipo Communications MANAGING DIRECTOR Ph 021 389 128 or +64 04 934 1285 mailto:rachel@katipo.co.nz PO Box 12487, Wellington http://www.katipo.co.nz New Zealand Koha Open Source Library System http://www.koha.org

Sure would, we could put another instance of timebot up, and run it in #koha. And then put the interface somewhere publicly reachable, (somewhere on koha.org) Chris -- Chris Cormack Programmer 027 4500 789 Katipo Communications Ltd chris@katipo.co.nz www.katipo.co.nz
