Hi, I have encountered a major problem at importing a record after it has been searched via z3950. Namely, the characters for Polish diacritical signs are not properly displayed and cannot be stored like that. I would like someone to guide me through this and help. Here ire the specifics on the server i query: DATABASE - Z39.50 ACCESS TO BNPOL DATABASE The National Library in Warsaw, Poland (April 9th, 2003) 1 > Code for database: INNOPAC 2 > Display name for database: Z39.50 ACCESS TO BNPOL DATABASE 3 > IP address of server: 193.59.172.100 4 > Port: 210 5 > Authentication/Password: NOT REQUIRED 6 > Character Set: win1250 (ISO 6937/2) 7 > Enable SCAN Facility? I think the z39.50 or MARC import needs iconv support, but I could be wrong. Or, you could persuade the national library to migrate to utf-8 ;-) -- MJR/slef My Opinion Only and possibly not of any group I know.
