This sounds like the 'logrotate' problem. The earlier patches are in your version though, so I'm not sure. Anything in your zebra log files?

For technical questions you might get more responses on the Koha general list. This list iirc was created more with a mind to establish a forum for library staff. I'm not sure there are a lot of techs here. The librarians are pretty quiet too, as it turns out.
