Hi Koha Community,

After adding AustLang thesaurus for Australian languages, how have others incorporated this into their cataloguing framework with MARC code list for languages? Koha can not have multiple lists of values for one subfield (041).

Ex Libris have apparently enhanced 'the controlled vocabulary used in field 041 $a by expanding it to include a broader list of language codes, combining the current MARC21 standard with codes from ISO 639-3.' Is there a way to combine the AustLang thesaurus and the standardised MARC list of languages codes in Koha?

I have minimal experience or knowledge in this area so any information or instructions on how to successfully integrate access to both lots of language codes gratefully accepted.

Regards,
Jane
