I'm in the middle of writing some things up, but there's an interesting opportunity for us right now. I've been talking to the editor of WorldWatch (a website devoted to spreading international news about free software), and he's excited about Koha. If we can feed him original articles, links to other articles, and the like (particularily in non-english languages), he said he'd be happy to post them. I don't think we want to send in too much all at once. I'd also like to make sure that we can sustain it. So, here is the challenge. If you know about something going on in the Koha community, please write up a short article about it in your native language. See if you can get it published at a website, or in a local news magazine or newspaper (with an on-line presence). Then let me know ao that we can get it sent in to WorldWatch. If you'd like examples of what might be newsworthy, here are a few: The recent donation of a spanish translation of Koha, and the formation of the koha@es.koha.org mailing list The recent formation of a group in Brazil who are going to be translating Koha for us. ESIEE's committment to using and improving Koha in France. What else is going on? How can we let people know about it? -pate Pat Eyler Kaitiaki/manager migrant Linux sys admin the Koha project ruby, shell, and perl geek http://www.koha.org http://pate.eylerfamily.org
