I will be updating all the .po files on translate.koha.org today, in preparation for the 3.0.5 release. I will email the list when they are updated, there are about 10 new strings to translate. Chris
The opac .po files have all been updated, and most of the intranet ones. I will finish the rest tomorrow Chris 2009/12/3 Chris Cormack <chris@bigballofwax.co.nz>:

Some more patches were pushed, that meant some template changes. So I have updated all the .po files for the opac and the intranet. They are all available at http://translate.koha.org/projects/opac3_0/ and http://translate.koha.org/projects/intranet3_0/ Chris

A little question about the translating process ... I have logged in at translate.koha.org in the past ... and suggested some strings to the spanish translation... Now that all the po files have been updated, I have downloaded the po file again, but noted that none of my suggestions made it to the 'official' po file. So... maybe I'm doing something wrong or I missing some step (cause I don't think my suggestions were that bad!!) Best regards! -- Ing. J. Martin Longo Depto. HI Martin No you have done nothing wrong, and all your suggestions are still there. I can't approve them as I don't speak spanish. Bernardo Gonzalez Kriegel is the person who has approval rights. If you want I can add you as having approval rights to, and you can go through and look at the suggestions? Chris

If possible, I want approval rights also. BTW, Chris, did you see Pootle<http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/pootle/index>2.0.0? It is in RC state, but It looks a great improvement <http://pootle.locamotion.org/> compared with Pootle 1.2.1<http://translate.koha.org/about.html> . -- Pablo

Done

I'll see if I can get a debian package of it, and upgrade. Chris

I just updated the Staff and OPAC Portuguese PO files from your Dec 4 git commit (29ac0558e03c08a088a633f9cb965db014b57ead) for the 3.0.x branch and I'm getting the following error at the end of the "./install-code.pl pt-PT" command output: "po/pt-PT-i-opac-t-prog-v-3000000.po: PO file is corrupted, or not a PO file". Are you aware of this? Should I (try to) do anything on my side to correct this? Full output available at: http://paste.workbuffer.org/79 Thanks in advance! :) Cheers, Ricardo Dias Marques lists AT ricmarques DOT net

Hi Ricardo Yep, there was a corrupt character in the po file, I removed it if you get the latest version from git, that should be good http://git.koha.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=Koha;a=shortlog;h=3.0.x All the po files have been updated since the 4th. Chris

Thanks for the answer Chris, but the most recent Portuguese OPAC PO file that I see in git is the one from December 4, included in your "Opac po file updates" commit that has updated this and many other OPAC files: http://git.koha.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=Koha;a=commit;h=29ac0558e03c08a088a... I did a "git pull --rebase" from that 3.0.x branch, and that's the most recent commit that I get, as well. I ran the "./install-code.pl pt-PT" again, just in case, but I got again the message "po/pt-PT-i-opac-t-prog-v-3000000.po: PO file is corrupted, or not a PO file". The md5sum of the "pt-PT-i-opac-t-prog-v-3000000.po" file that I'm using is "b9b0cda407bc0298a9ec3427848360c7". Is this the right one? Am I doing something wrong? Is it possible that you forgot to push the Portuguese PO OPAC file that has the correction that you mentioned? Thanks again! Cheers, Ricardo Dias Marques lists AT ricmarques DOT net

Ah ha, there was another error, a missing msgid. Ive added that, and pushed it, and it's happy again. Chris

Great! Now I get the expected "The install seems to be successful." at the end of the "./install-code.pl pt-PT" execution. I also checked the web interfaces, after running that command. Everything looks good (I got the expected maintenance message in the OPAC, so I went to the Web installer, logged in and that updated the database structure perfectly). I must admit that I find strange that you were able to solve this problem by just adding an empty "msgid" and corresponding "msgstr" in lines 6 and 7 of the PO file. Do you have any idea for why "install-code.pl" was complaining and why does this strange (to me) correction works (as it apparently does)? Thanks a lot for having pushed this fix Chris! :) Cheers, Ricardo Dias Marques lists AT ricmarques DOT net

Those strings are apparently what msgmerge uses to tell it is a .po file. Without them it simply stops. Strange but true :) Chris
