In Branches, if I add a branch, I can enter 5 characters in the field. But after
saving, the branch code is truncated to 4 characters.

The form should limit the branch code to 4 characters, not 5.

As an added safety measure, the CGI script should also complain (and not add the
branch) if it detects that the branch code is longer than 4 characters.
