I think this bug is mistitled.  It is not DNS setup.  The lookup should be done
by the local Name Service Switch, usually the /etc/hosts file.  There is an
override possible with WEBSERVER_IP and other similar variables, but if a
system's local hostname isn't configured correctly, all sorts of things will
fail, so it's not really a good idea.

This bug is marked as PATCH-Sent but there is no patch attached or referenced
from this report.
