Okay, this is really not the correct bug description.  I've reopened 2351 and
am going to go ahead and close this one, since the behavior it describes has
indeed been fixed.

I will leave the opening of a new bug that I discuss in 2351 to the discretion
of whoever tackles that bug (which I assume will be you, Chris :) ).
