If you try to enter a manual credit with the item number filled in it will not
apply the credit even if there is a fine with that item number

If you enter a manual credit without the item number filled in it will apply
the credit.

... someone told me it was a known issue

that you are thinking of.

data it does not apply to the account of the patron

enter an item number
[13:46]  <atz> nengard: perhaps they work w/ itemnumber if your have a fine
associated w/ the same itemnumber (and not otherwise... which is bad)
