When running circulation reports on a large library, they usually end up
crashing.  In particular I tried the Holds report - circ/pendingreserves.pl and
got a timeout error 

Can we have this paginated?  

It might be best for all circulation reports to allow you to filter first and
show results second, this way it prevents freezing.
