Additional info regarding my Comment #3 above: the "item-level_itypes" System
Preference is set to "OFF". Enabling it does NOT solve the problem (an
"Advanced Search" by item type still returns NO results). The only difference
is the kind of message that is returned (the message now mentions "mc-itype"
instead of "mc-itemtype"):
