According to me this is owed to the fact that there is only one VAR_NAME
query_search
maybe we could have either TMPL_LOOP with TMPL_VARs op idx q maybe with
modifiers
or we cannot use ESCAPE there, which raises some issues.

Anyway, since you reverted, it should be OK now.
