@ Joe Atzberger (Comment #3) and Galen Charlton (Comment #4): Sorry for this
late reply. I've gotten sidetracked to other projects, and then I had to setup
again VirtualBox and git. 

Today (17-Jan-2009), I tested again for this bug with a "clean" Koha 3 database
and tested it with two Koha git commits: the one "tagged" v3.00.00 (release 3.0
Final) and another one dated as 1-Dec-2008 (commit
817cd2680e2114c7a169cde492aaca44af2717ad), which includes the commit by Joe
Atzberger on 27-Aug-2008 (commit 1e284039c1a2e764c2bc3645f509f3d85fe215b1 with
title "Bug 2419: require Exporter", that aims to solve this bug). 

I can happily confirm that, on my setup (openSUSE 11.0 Virtual Machine, running
Perl 5.10.0): 
- On one hand, when testing the v3.00.00 commit, the error happened again (as
it was expected) 
- On the other hand, when testing with the more recent git "version", the
adding vendor operation worked flawlessly!

So, I'm marking this Bug as FIXED. Congrats for the great work!  :)
