Summary: change itemcallnumber system preference to allow
multiple tags
Product: Koha
Version: rel_3_0

OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P5
Component: Cataloging

Change sponsored?: ---
Currently the "itemcallnumber" system preference only allows the library to
enter one MARC tag/subfield to be used to populate the call number field in new
item records. It would help if the library could enter multiple tags which Koha
would check in the order they were entered. If the first tag was not in the
biliographic record, Koha would look for the next tag. For example, the library
if the library entered 090ab,082ab, Koha would check the 082 tag if there was
no 090 tag.
