The patch was pushed to 3.0.X in July 2010, and there hasn't been a release
since then, so upgrading to 3.0.6 (which came out before July 2010) wouldn't
get you the patch. This looks like the patch here:

You tested the patch previously? Then you should be able to apply it whenever
you want. You'll need it for 3.0.6, but hopefully not 3.0.7.
