I have reproduce the mentioned bug : 
I create 2 itemtypes : 
- Articles de PERIODIQUE
- PERIODIQUE
When i search on 'PERIODIQUE', all 'Articles de PERIODIQUE' and 'PERIODIQUE'
biblios are returned.

The proposed patch resolve this bug
