mason, a follow-up patch with something like
    if ($debug && $debug > 1) { warn "(during init) \@\$self->{'dmy_arrayref'}:
" . join( ' ', @{ $self->{'dmy_arrayref'} } ) . "\n"; }

instead of
    if ($debug > 1) { warn "(during init) \@\$self->{'dmy_arrayref'}: " . join(
' ', @{ $self->{'dmy_arrayref'} } ) . "\n"; }
