In Step 4 of creating a new guided report, "Select Criteria to Limit on," the
template is designed to offer different means of limiting based on different
types: date, textrange, daterange, and "anything else." The template always
displays the "else" filters no matter what kind of column you choose.

I'm assuming based on the way the Dictionary works that if you choose a
date-type column you're supposed to get some kind of filter option with a
datepicker, but it's not entirely clear.
