I had no time to look at this, although I had planned to do it for a longer
time. Now the time runs out and I am not sure I will be able to. 
As there is already one implementation for analytics in place - using 773 and
001 fields for linking and completely independant from items - it would be
important to us that both features can work as alternatives.
