Hi Claire, 

patching the po files will not work I think, because those files get generated
and rewritten by the translation scripts. So I am afraid your change might get
undone with the next run of 'perl translate update fr-FR'. 

Before release of 3.8 Frederic will make a pull request for the po files
currently stored at translate.koha-community.org - so you would have to make
sure those files are fixed too. 

I think probably the script needs to be fixed not to produce the problem you
found?
