An additional problem has occurred with the top nav bar. Here is part of the
discussion from irc:

the cart
<oleonard> The new design removed the explicit width on the div which contains
that menu
<oleonard> When the cart updates the container, for whatever reason, doesn't
expand when the text changes
<oleonard> #toplevelnav { width: 40%; } might be a fix
<chris_n> fwiw, that fixes it here
<oleonard> One concern is longer-character words in translations
<chris_n> so the problem would show up when I had items in my cart?
