I think we may have had something lost in translation :)

I am *absolutely in favor* of allowing custom XSLT stylesheets. That's great
functionality.

I was thinking of a set of sysprefs that combine the current functionality 

"Display results <normally || using xslt>" with the "add a path for custom
xslt." 

The end result would look like:

"Display results <normally || using xslt>, using this custom XSLT stylesheet
<entry box>. Leave box empty to use the default xslt stylesheet"

This way all current functionality is retained, and I don't think it's too
confusing.
