We find that we miss a Harleyism - 

PTFS added a drop down menu in the patron search including email, phone number,
and borrower number to the standard search.  For email or phone number, you
could use an asterisk (*555-1212 or *.rainbow.net) wildcard character.  In this
feature, searching (212) 555-1212 and 212 555 1212 were NOT equivalent, you had
to search for the phone number as entered, or truncated to just a part (like
*1212*).  Mickey suggests that we limit the search string to the last four
digits (the most unique part of the phone number).

We especially need the email search feature back to identify typos and bounced
notices.
