I found a difference in the html of the buttons:

Check Out:
<input type="submit" value="Submit" class="submit" id="ysearchsubmit">

Others:
<input type="submit" class="submit" value="Submit">

However, I do not find #ysearchsubmit in the CSS

Anyway, this difference could be a hint why (older?) browsers interpret the CSS
differently.
