- Installing a new Windows PC, professional version at the Lanesborough MA
library ran into an issue discussed on the IRC today 09/25/12. I could not
connect on a wired solution but only on a wireless level of ip addressing
aforementioned. Only after I disabled the wired level on 192.168.x.x, which I
was able to connect to the Koha library at mass-cat site, I was able then to
connect through either Firefox or Internet Explorer. This was issue both in
Firefox and also Internet Explorer. Every other random site searched and
browsed allowed full use. Other base info is that I installed Norton 360 on
this PC, same security software on xp pc workstations and no problem for access
there. I was able to ping the library catalog database from the cmd per IRC
support chat. I did also make sure to allow the Firefox software app instead of
leaving on auto, but that did not seem to matter. Any help or suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.
