Hi,
this sounds to my, like your Zebra index might be out of sync. Have you set up
the cronjobs to update the search indexes regularly? This would prevent the
deleted record from showing up in your result list. Also the item numbers in
the result list are probably wrong because of that. Could you try reindexing
your data?
