Testing now, a few notes:

1) applying patches gives a warning about added trailing whitespaces
warning: 3 lines applied after fixing whitespace errors.

2) updatedatabase: Is this important? 

~/kohaclone$ perl installer/data/mysql/updatedatabase.pl
DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Column 'numberingmethod' cannot be null at
installer/data/mysql/updatedatabase.pl line 6584.
Upgrade to XXX done (Add subscription_frequencies and
subscription_numberpatterns tables)
