Hey Katrin,

Items are matched on itemnumber.  If no match is found the item is added.  

The overlay function is just using the built in function ModItemFromMarc so
only fields listed in the marc file.  I am unsure of how the internal overlay
functions in Koha work if an item is on loan and its data is overlaid.
