I tried to resurrect this patch. I have not tested much yet, but I think there
are some problems and it does not seem to give the option to add a default
value for indicators automatically (or i have not found it yet).

I don't think I will have time to work much on this, I wanted to put the
rebased version up here anyway and invite you to test it.
