Sadly, as I wanted to pass QA on this if the test suite was ok... we have an
error in the QA script:

 * C4/Auth_with_ldap.pm                                                    
FAIL
    pod                         OK
    forbidden patterns          OK
    valid                       FAIL
        "my" variable $res masks earlier declaration in same scope 
    critic                      OK

Someone willing to write a follow up?
