Dobrica, it's been sometime since I wrote the patch, but if I recall it
correctly I didn't overwrite the old method for LDAP auth that worked for you.

Have you tried setting ´auth_by_bind´ to 0 in your koha-conf.xml? Let me know
if it works for your that way.
