QA comment:
Looks good.
3 remarks:
1/ format_date should be removed (use the TT plugin) - not introduced by these
patches
2/ CURRENT_DATE is a mysqlism
3/ I would prefer GetReservesFromItemnumber returns only a reserve hashref
(what I did for bug 8367).

I will provide a followup for 1 and 2.
