Hello,

Thanks for all your work reviewing this patch. I'm working on the issues
raised, and as a first step I have followed Cait's advice, splitting the
CheckPreviousIssue functionality into a separate patch (bug 6906).

I will be adding to this series in the near future, obsoleting my old patch,
but if you are interested in this, please test the attachment at bug 6906 — it
is required for this functionality.
