I tested:
[% IF ( branchFFL ) %]
<body id="opac-main" class="[% branchFFL %]">
[% ELSE %]
<body id="opac-main" class="default">
[% END %]

And confirm that it works (tested under a 3.14.x) when translating.
Although I am not sure if it is the most elegant way to address the problem?
