Doesn't that seem like an inelegant solution though?

How many librarians are actually going to think to look there? Do notices just
accumulate overtime until someone arbitrarily decides to remove a backlog of
print notices from the directory?

Even if we do use a cronjob and a directory, it would be a good idea to at
least have an interface for giving librarians access via Koha.
