I was going to say that I'm doing work on OpenID...but I realized that I'm
actually working on "OpenID Connect Core 1.0" which is a veneer over OAuth2.0
rather than being an implementation of "OpenID Authentication 2.0".

I assume that you're talking about "OpenID Authentication 2.0".

In any case, I think that Koha needs a better API for handling external
authentication...
