An idea might be to add more "Show/hide" column options to more DataTables.

This would work nicely: http://datatables.net/examples/api/show_hide.html

However, that's in DataTables 1.10, whereas we're using DataTables 1.9 which is
now considered legacy. Unfortunately, I couldn't find an equivalent in the
legacy docs: http://legacy.datatables.net/ref
