This needs rebased on master

I tested on sandbox and got Error 500 when trying to sign in to patron's
account

I tested in VM and all seems good after clearing the merge conflict in
updatedatabase.pl  but I don't know the procedure to submit rebased patches so
I will retest and sign off ASAP when rebased
