I am not sure I fully understand your bug report, the behaviour seems normal to
me. 

When you create real items with your subscription the serial enumeration will
be in 952$h for UNIMARC. You can change the visibility and description of this
field in your cataloguing frameworks. After adding them in the serials module,
you can change the items like any normal item in the cataloguing module.

Koha will also always keep track of the issues of the subscription itself. This
information can only be changed in the serials module.

I am closing this WORKSFORME, please reopen if I am mistaken.
