Totally agreed with what paxed has said.  As for the subfield delimiter, why
can't we just use "|" (vertical bar found using <Shift>+ \ key).  It is highly
unlikely that such symbol would ever get used during data entry.  

Also like the idea of having a different colour for subfield delimiter and
subfield code, so they stand out to the actual data.
