You're right about changing the MARC flavour. That probably shouldn't be a
system preference either :p.

I don't know. As I look through these patches, I see other system preferences
as well. So maybe the overzealous superlibrarian isn't relevant, but are any
developers going to know what to do with these system preferences? It seems
finicky. Of course, I might just be saying that because I haven't learned
enough about it. Maybe it will be easier than the current situation which is
also quite finicky.
