I'll further note that this seems to happen only on author links. 
The link for viewing the author's authority records is as follow:

cgi-bin/koha/opac-authoritiesdetail.pl?authid="112718694"

but the link to the subject authority records is as follows:

cgi-bin/koha/opac-authoritiesdetail.pl?authid=20154206    (note no quotes)
