Here is a followup, but I cannot guide anyone further about the way of testing
the patch...
I suggested this way in an earlier comment: to test I suppose you could do
that;
run zebrasrv -f $KOHA_CONF
Make some searches with and without QP activated and check if the query are the
same in the log printed in terminal by zebrasrv
